Pastor Derrin Davis, Sr. 

 

Pastor Derrin Davis Sr was born on September 17, 1979 to the late Joseph C Davis and the late Joann Davis. He was born in Phenix City, AL and attended school in the Russell County School District. In 2006 he accepted the call from the Lord and went to Oakwood University in Huntsville Alabama. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology 2011. He obtained his Master’s degree in Christian ministry with an emphasis in homiletics from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2015.

He is currently enrolled at Walden University and is pursuing a degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Executive Leadership. In December of 2009 he married Michelle Blanton (former) of Columbus Ga. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She has a graduate certificate in Public Administration as well as a graduate certificate in Military Resilience Counseling from Liberty University. She also served in the United States Army for eight years. She has worked for the State of NC as a Disability Determination Specialist and is currently working as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of NC. They have three beautiful children. Zariah, Derrin Jr, and Madison.

Pastor Davis knows the pains and struggles of life and believes that God has equipped him to minister to his people in times like these. He has pastored in the Wilson and Rocky Mount district in North Carolina. Lord led him to Baptized over 50 souls while pastoring in that district, also a major renovation project took place and was successful in completion within three years.

He is currently the Lead pastor of the historic Ephesus church in Wilmington NC and the Victory church in Riegelwood NC. He also is serving as a volunteer with L.I.N.C (Leading Into New Communities) under the Leadership of Frankie Roberts the co-founder of the program of North Carolina. This program is a Reentry Program that provides transitional housing, job training for inmates that are returning back to society. His favorite text is Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He believes in the power of prayer.
